Since its conception, Susan has concentrated on establishing Bay Design Store in Naples as one of the most unique and successful home furnishing boutiques and interior design firms in Southwest Florida.

Susan’s superb eye for color and style can be seen in Bay Design Store’s rotating collection of unique accessories, original gallery-quality oil paintings and prints, stunning furniture, and sumptuous upholstery. Located just two blocks from the beach, she is inspired by colors of the waves, beach, and sky. As Susan puts it, “It is my desire to have the store be a reflection of our coastal location and lush tropical surroundings, to blend simplicity with luxury, and to help our clients achieve their own perfect Florida home.”

Before opening Bay Design Store in Naples in 2003, Susan founded Bay Design Store in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1979. She operated both the Ann Arbor and Naples locations for 9 years before making the decision in 2012 to focus on Naples entirely. After more than 35 years in business, Susan is recognized as one of the leading entrepreneurs in the home furnishings and interior design industries.

Susan Bay designs for Sherrill Furniture on the DC Collections that are featured at High Point Market in April and October each year. Based on the original designs of award-winning designer, Dan Carithers, the collection features both upholstery and case goods. Susan’s fresh perspective, design expertise, and experience have made the DC Collection one of the most popular lines in the Sherrill family of furniture.
